If we define node in simplest words then it is simply a connection point in embroidery. A shape is made by a group of nodes. Types Of Nodes:

Generally, the types of nodes depend on the way on the basis of which other nodes emerge either after or before a shape. In the creation of an embroidery design, different types of nodes are used at a single time. rather than the use of fewer nodes and alteration of the type of nodes, most of the inexpert users are likely to make plenty of a single node type. There are different types of nodes i.e. straight, cusp, symmetrical, smooth. All these types of nodes are used in different manner.

  • Straight Node:Before and after the individual node, a straight line is present in a straight node. If an embroiderer wants to create a shape by the use of straight nodes only, then many nodes will be utilized in the creation. Plus a choppy shape will be created. To turn corners is the classic use of straight nodes. It is the easiest type for the creation of embroidery shapes.
  • Cusp Node: The retention of individual characteristics in each side of a node is possible by means of a cusp node. on the other side of the node, no bearing or effect will be produces by making changes in one side of a node. a small curve to the left of the node and a larger curve to the right of the node can easily be placed by the use of cusp node. control arms or handles are available in the sides of cusp nodes that can be dragged to different positions.
  • Symmetrical Node: The angle of the direction lines to 180° is constrained in this node; therefore, on each side of the anchor point, the same length is seen on the direction lines. on both sides of the anchor point, the same curvature is created. on each side of the anchor point, the handle always will be of the same size.
  • Smooth Node: From one line to the next, the shape of each side of the node to transition smoothly can be done by smooth nodes. to 180°, the angle of the direction lines can be constrained. Therefore, on one side of the anchor point, it is possible for the user that he can vary the length of the direction line.
